The module aims to introduce students to the key concepts of C and its practical use for developing efficient, tested, quality code based on best practice. Students will gain an understanding of the application of software design mythologies as applied to code developments, with particular reference made to the importance of documentation. Additionally they will gain an appreciation of how data is stored, how speed and memory usage can be optimised and best implemented on differing processors.
