This module aims to provide students with an understanding of the technical aspects of telecommunication systems in the broadest sense. This will encompass both the theoretical basis and practical circuit implementations of basic modulation schemes as well as the impact and consequences of noise and channel distortion on both performance and decision making in the engineering design process.

LO1 - Demonstrate an appreciation of the advantages and disadvantages of AM, FM and PM modulation schemes. |
