The aims of the module are: -To provide understanding of the basic thermofluid principles of aircraft propulsion and gas turbine engines -To provide knowledge of the layout and design principles of jet engines and how individual components can be designed to achieve the required performance

	LO1 - Apply core engineering science (from pre-requisite and current modules) to evaluate gas turbine thermofluid systems.
	LO2 - Formulate appropriate analysis and computational methods related to the thermofluids design of gas turbines.
	LO3 - Evaluate and appraise an appropriate system and components for propulsion scenarios.
	LO4 - Identify and assess appropriate technologies/components by critically appraising cost and sustainability issues.
	LO5 - Critically analyse and communicate engineering calculations, data analysis and system wide design conclusions.
