The principle aim of this module is to develop understanding and application of some of the key Manufacturing sectors in the UK. This includes observation and evaluation of how specific manufacturing companies and industries are structured, how manufacturing companies add value, reduce costs, improve productivity and innovate. The module also aims to identify and evaluate the main internal and external factors affecting the operation and organisation of companies. The module also aims to enhance communication, report writing and group working skills.
