This module aims to give the theoretical and practical background of computational techniques required for the numerical solution of complex engineering problems. Different computational techniques are usually recommended to solve problems under different conditions. An efficient use of these numerical techniques requires both a theoretical knowledge of their subjects and computational experience with them. The course provides the basic concepts of the most popular computational techniques used to solve engineering problems as well as a review of the necessary numerical algorithms required to implement such computational techniques.
